About Me
I am a benchmark-agnostic global unconstrained fixed income fund manager. Although that renders me a generalist by default, my investment focus evolves around credit, including the investment-grade, high-yield as well as non-rated spectrum. With a background in equity research, I do equities as well.
The flexibility and versatility inherent in the global unconstrained approach has allowed me to develop a skill set in the most attractive sub-segments of the fixed income market, i.e. crossover zone (fallen angels and rising stars), subordinated debt – lately with particular focus on financial hybrid capital benefitting from regulatory change (Basel III-grandfathering) but generally non-financials -, as well as the Scandinavian high-yield spectrum.
Given my background in academia, research plays an important role in my investment approach. My investment process is quantitative research-driven, combining top-down as well as bottom-up elements.
I have been publishing in international journals and given presentations on global conferences in the areas of economic history, economics and on a range of investment management. My research focus lies on quantitative approaches to investment management, particularly in fixed income markets, style premia and financial crises as well as quantitative fundamental investing in general.”
