BIOGRAPHY

I am an investor and fund manager, currently serving as the Head of Fixed Income at Huber, Reuss & Kollegen, managing mutual and special funds as well as segregated accounts in the fixed income space.

I started my career working in equity research, before joining StarCapital/Bellevue Group as a senior researcher and portfolio manager in the Global Fixed Income department, co-managing a range of global unconstrained fixed income funds as well as conducting research.

In my current function, I run a credit-focussed global unconstrained fixed income strategy, combining top-down and bottom-up approaches as well as quantitative and qualitative aspects. My approach is benchmark-agnostic, dynamically allocating to the full spectrum of fixed income markets. Apart from investment-grade and high-yield corporate credits, my focus lies on fallen angels and the crossover zone in general, subordinated bonds as well as non-rated corporates.

I have been the recipient of the “Thomson Reuters Analyst Award” in 2016, the “Euro Fund Award 2020”, the “Euro Fund Award 2022” and the “Euro Fund Award 2023”. I am currently AA-rated by Citywire.

I transitioned to the investment management industry from academia. My academic background includes an M.A. in Economic History (University of Vienna), a Graduate Diploma in Banking (LSE), an M.Sc. in Finance (Cass Business School) and a Doctorate in Economic History (University of Vienna).

I have been publishing extensively in academic journals and given presentations on global conferences in the areas of economic history, economics and on a range of investment management topics. My research focus lies on quantitative approaches to investment management, particularly in fixed income markets, style premia and financial crises as well as quantitative fundamental investing in general.

Growing up in western Austria, I enjoy hiking, skiing and backcountry skiing as well as playing squash and tennis.
